Pro Smart Movers

Booked with Pro Smart Movers for a move within SF, and 2 days before our move they called me and explicitly told me that they no longer had employees to do our move the day we requested, and then asked if we could reschedule a day earlier (mind you this would be the following morning for us, giving us essentially no time to pack). I said this is extremely inconvenient for us but I will check with my roommate if it could work. When I called back to say it would not work and that we will have to cancel our move with them, and that I expect a refund on our deposit, he told me that he will actually just check with the branch manager if they can make the original day work. At this point, I had already confirmed alternative options and no longer felt comfortable with using their service at all, since they should have checked all of their options before even calling me to cancel for the original day to begin with. I told him no, and that I was wanted to cancel still and get a refund, which is when he started switching up the story on me, saying that he never said they would not be able to do it the original day, and that he just asked if we could reschedule, which is a lie. I was so displeased with the service, that I chose to forego the deposit and go ahead with another mover that I have used previously and trusted their service. So unprofessional and poor customer service

On the morning of August 26, 2022, the day of our move, much to my surprise a company “Pro Smart Moving and Storage LLC, had shown up to do the move. Apparently, a Broker had “subcontracted” this job to them.

I had no idea who these guys were, I was expecting these people to act in good faith and instead I got an outfit out of San Jose, California stating they were there to move me, and the amount was $11,000. What!!! What the heck was going on?

There were only 2 men when they arrived. Henderson and Jose, and one man named Gary who they hired when they got here. They did not do anything in the way of “unloading “until I finally talked to “john Ismagulav” their boss from PSM and I then had to go to Walmart and buy money orders, the bank was closed as it was Sunday, and they couldn’t trust us as a customer to do the right thing and accept a check like they did on Friday, no they were parked out in front of our home for 3 hours before they even started to unload, I have never experienced such unprofessionalism from a company as I did this one.

Gary was a very hard worker and tried to be as careful as he could and even Gary who didn’t even work for Pro Smart Moving had to keep reminding Henderson and Jose to be more careful with the unloading and delivery of the items in the house. Henderson and Jose were completely unprofessional in their handling of our furniture and belongings. In their haste to unload and get back to San Jose, California they rushed and were not careful with boxes clearly marked “fragile” hand carrying weighted boxes instead of using a “dolly” and when using a “dolly” carelessly banged it up three wooden stairs which led into the house and knocking off a chunk of wood on the stairway and instead of covering the “new vinyl flooring” with blankets, they destroyed several pieces of flooring and put holes in it.

Henderson and his crew did damage to our glass front bookcase that was so carefully wrapped, in the process of unpacking, the wooden skirting was busted off.

They broke one of our collectible “Waterford Crystal Vases” that had been packed and busted in a thousand pieces. It was a collectible valued at over $450

This company was just a joke. Totally unprofessional with not a care in the world about the handling of delecate items.

They shouldn't be in this business.

Jeff, Jake, and their entire team were simply fantastic to work with. They were safe, very effective, professional, and mindful of our time. When I thought something was misplaced, I reached out to Jeff and he took the time to call me and discuss my concern; thankfully we located the item very shortly thereafter. Jeff and his team were, by far, the best movers we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. If we ever find ourselves moving in the future, I know the movers we hire will have big shoes to fill after experiencing the fantastic move Jeff lead.

My wife and I used this company for a move from High Point to Asheville. We dealt with Ben, Jenny, and our driver Freddy. From beginning to end the experience was great. Ben’s initial survey, estimation, and quote process was accurate and very timely. Jenny’s coordination of the details of the move was flawless. Freddy assembled 2 great packing/loading/unloading teams in High Point and Asheville. He and his teams managed the actual move process with the utmost professionalism. I highly recommend this company.
