The beginning to end was well organized by Dean. Milton and his men did a great job packing most things. The younger men that didn’t speak English didn’t understand me when I told them not to pack certain items. Unfortunately they packed things that had to be returned to buyer. Also Comcast boxes were packed away. This will cause a fee if I don’t get them returned. Fortunately when I got here we found the large Comcast receiver to return.

My tip to management would be to give employees a class on communication with their clients to completely understand their instructions.

Everything else went well as planned, they were very friendly and courteous.They arrived right on time. Boxes, paper packing and tape included free. I would highly recommend them to my friends or anyone asking for referral.

495 Movers made my move less stressful then I imagined. They packed and loaded my belongings with care and efficiency. They safely stored my belongings for 6 weeks. Finally, they delivered my belongings with the same care and efficiency I initially experienced. The day of delivery was especially hot, yet the team persevered and carried in everything with some items having to travel up 3 flights of stairs! They never complained or seemed to slow down. I would recommend anyone consider 495 Movers.

They kept trying to charge me move; the items arrived beyond when estimated.  Worst of all, numerous items were either broken - furniture, pottery - and missing (i.e. stolen - and the company never found them or offered to look for them).  A laptop computer, several expensive prints, and vintage (collector's items) plates, plus bank and personal records.  They pressured me to let them back things, saying if I did the packing it wouldn't be a "professional" packing job and not insured.  So they packed the kitchen.  Their "professional" packing job was to use grey sheets of paper - no bubble wrap or such protective materials - and simply wrap things in paper, then throw them in willy nilly in haphazard fasion into boxes; in this way many things were broekn.   After the move, they outright lied to Yelp about a review I tried to post there, threatening Yelp I think to get them to pull my review off (they succeeeded - and a number of their limited reviews were created by friends.  They changed their name only a few years ago - usually a red flag as it often means a company is covering up something - and have complaints about them with the Better Business Bureau.   They hooked me up with an insurance company that ended up refusing to back any claim.

My family recently used 495 Movers for a local move that also included packing and storage. We could not have been more satisfied with the level of service and care they provided, at every level. They were very punctual and professional and worked very diligently but at the same time were careful with what they were doing. We had them come the day before our move date to do the packing for us. The crew that came out was excellent. And 495 had representatives come out on each of the days to check in with us and their team members. Their office is also very good with reaching out to us before and after the move to answer any questions and make sure we were happy with the service. From top to bottom, 495 Movers have been a pleasure. They take away a lot of the stress and aggravation of moving. We will be using them again in the very near future as we return to a renovated house. I give them the highest recommendation possible. If service and quality are important to you, I cannot imagine a better company to use for your move!

We were planning a move, and quality was more important than price. We did not want our precious things hurt in the move.

Our move was local, but in two stages. In the first stage of our move, we planned to pack-up and move some of our stuff and store it while selling our current house. The second stage comes after we buy a new house, and we will want to move all our stuff to the new house. In the second stage we plan on packing up and moving the rest of our stuff from our old house plus moving the stuff that was stored by 495 Movers.

In the first stage, we had a very positive experience with the initial pack-up and move. Leo, the supervisor of the packing and moving team, paid attention to our desires and communicated those desires to his team. In the packing, we were so impressed by how quickly and pleasantly his team worked, but also how carefully they packed all our precious possessions, with the same care that they might if those had been their own possessions.

We look forward to the second stage of our move going as positively as the first stage.

The 495 Movers Team was on time, and worked well and closely as a choreographed team. They were efficient and very careful with every lift and box/item move. They achieved a zero damage move day. The move team completed my local move ahead of time expectations. I also appreciated the pre-move coordination and guidance from the pre-move estimator; and, the detailed explanation of what to expect and how I could be better prepared for the big day. I cannot say enough how excellent my move with 495 movers went this past weekend. The team was professional from the moment we spoke on the phone to the moment the movers arrived. The estimate was exact to the hour the pricing was upfront with no hidden costs. I completed my inventory as requested and later added an additional storage unit and 495 movers was able to accommodate me. The team came prepared with tools, extra boxes, and packing supplies. They quickly broke down furniture and handled all my items with care. In addition they remained focused throughout the job and ensured that all of my items were set up correctly and in my desired location. I could not have asked for better movers. I highly recommend 495 movers and would use them again for my moving needs.

We hired 495 Movers for a local move, about 3mi away. First, When the estimate came in and 22 hours, 5 movers, 2 trucks over 2 days, we thought no way. But indeed the estimate was spot on. 2ndly, all 5 busted their backsides across all 22 hours, they did so over approx 750 moving boxes and some heavy furniture and appliances. The only reason we are not giving them 5 stars, one of the movers stepped through our garage ceiling and didn’t tell us about it, which admittedly struck us as odd because they were so professional. The main office has been ultra-responsive and we strongly recommend 495!
