Long-distance move from California to Maryland

Car Hauler.

I was quoted $950 to move my car from Carmel Valley Ca to St. Michaels,MD. I was never told upfront that it could be 2 weeks before they found a driver. I was also never told that paying more money would make it easier to find a driver, plus an additional $50 for Westlake. So it took $250 more than what I was quoted, plus I had to pick up my car an hour away from where it was supposed to be delivered. So much for paying for door to door delivery.

The only reason I am giving 1 star, is that the driver delivered my car in perfect shape, and in a timely manner, once it was picked up.

Long-distance move from Ohio to New York

Wonderful and kind service.

Its not everyday you come upon someone who is willing to help you as if they were helping a friend. A very nice lady named Sarah knew that I was a first time user of a transport company and ensured my experience would be nothing short of detailed and smooth. Being a company that provides a service they excelled at that and were very hospitable about it. Thanking you all again. I urge everyone to avail Westlake Logistics LLC.

Long-distance move from Wisconsin to California

Car was sent to wrong address, had to pay extra.

I was quoted $929 to ship my car from Wisconsin to California on an enclosed trailer. A few days later, I got a phone call from Freddy stating my car could be picked up within the next week BUT due to location, my vehicle would be transported via open trailer and for the cost of $900.00 cash to the driver and a $100.00 deposit, total of $1,000.00. I agreed to the transportation changes and cost changes.

Two days after the vehicle was picked up, I was notified by the company where my car was stored, that the car was picked up. On April 6, 2017 I called Westlake and asked for an update, I was told the vehicle would arrive within two days of April 10th. Great, that's the exact estimate I was given prior.

3 hours go past (it is now 1pm) and I receive a text that the car will be delivered today, within 2 hours.

4 hours pass, no car. Westlake contacts the driver, driver states the he won't be in the area until 12am. I was not given any notice the vehicle would be arriving that late on a week day. The business I wanted the vehicle shipped has now closed the gates and I have to somehow figure out how to get my car, at 12 am. ( I work first shift, so I was stressing the inconvenience of not getting any sleep waiting for my car.)

Don't worry, the car didn't arrive anyways. I called the driver, he was delayed waiting on response from previous delivery. In which, I completely understand things like this happen and its not the drivers fault one bit, so I go to bed knowing my car will be here tomorrow between 9am and noon according to the driver.

It is now Friday April 7th, 2017 at 11am. I receive a call from the driver that my car will be delivered to an address, 3 and a half hours away! The driver was given the wrong delivery address.

I ask the driver to please deliver to the correct address (I have a contract that has the correct address) and he states he can not deliver to that address without more money.. I then get a call from Westlake stating that the car will be stored, 3 and a half hours away, and that I should take a bus to go get it.. What?

Westlake apologized for the inconvenience and they refunded me my deposit of $100, I did not ask for a refund, I asked for my car. All I want at this point is my vehicle, I have no idea where it is, no address of where it is or how I'm gong to get it. After Westlake sent back my deposit, they then said the rest of the communication was between myself and the driver. I thought a brokers job was to communicate and help the client? They just backed out and I was on my own trying to figure out how, when, and where I am going to get my car.

I call and ask the driver again to please deliver to the correct address, and we agreed he will bring it to me the next day. Another day goes by, the driver delivers my car on Saturday April 8th. The driver asked then for $1,200 cash for the delivery, or he will keep the car and it will be placed in a lot until I pay in full. The contract stated $900 cash. At that point, being on the spot, I gave the driver the $1,200 cash because my car is my absolute pride and joy, I couldn't let it go again not knowing where it was going to go or how I was going to get it.

The driver showed me his dispatch sheet, which had the wrong address on it and I showed him my sheet with the correct address. This was not the drivers fault for delivering the car to the wrong address so I decided to ask Westlake if I could be refunded my amount (Not a full refund, only refund me equal to my quoted price on the contract, a total of $300) Westlake states, this was the drivers fault he did not stay updated with them and they no longer have a contract with me.

I have made a claim with BBB and Westlake LIED saying I declined my vehicle not knowing I have photos and a receipt from the driver stating he had the wrong address the whole time.

Long-distance move from Utah to Virginia

Car transport.

Once the commission is taken, customer service stops. Late on pick up and delivery. I was moving 2 cars..one was taken without a contract in place and 2nd one took 2 weeks and price went up $25.
I questioned the delivery time in the contract since I thought it was fast..they said they had multiple drivers to drive faster. When the car showed up 5 days late by himself, his contract stated nothing on delivery time.. since all they do is list it on a web site the same as every other logistic company, I'd find someone else next time. They said they would refund my money..especially since they overcharged me, but that was just a blow off.
