We Are Your Mover

This man and his company stole $240 from us in that he took payment and never showed for the move..blocked our calls and let us scramble to find another mover on a major holiday with no notice, to no avail..He gave us his word he would be there and he scammed us.
We are seniors and had to do the move ourselves , landing my husband in the doctor's office the next day. This man belongs behind bars.We are serving him papers from Small Claims Court and we reported him to the BBB and Dept of Consumer Protection. Stay away from this guy.

We have used Rich for both Move and Cleaning.  We have hired Rich and his crew for our move yesterday (04/16/2012).  They arrived early and able to plan out the items for moving and complete the move yesterday.  They pick-up other cabinets we bought from other places with the same cost that was very good from Rich.
Rich has committed to his words which includes for move and cleaning with same cost what I spoke with him over the move though we have additional items that was more than what 2 bed room apt would be expected for movers.
We have few friends are planning to move this summer and I would recommend Rich for my friends for their move.

After booking Rich to help with a very simple move of couches from our basement, they ended up being an hour late (after I had to track them down) they showed-up for the job, brought the couches out to the dumpster and before my tenant even knew it they had left without saying a thing.  She went downstairs to inspect and found that none of their belongings were put back in place, damage to walls, scratches, gash and hole at the base of the stairs & damage to the door frame. They clearly left in a hurry for a reason.  The sad thing is, stuff like this happens and I would have understood and worked with them to resolve, but they were extremely unprofessional and should have never left that job site the way they.  When we called to complain and get a partial refund (which was way less then the damage would probably cost us to repair) they denied this offer and finally agreed to come fix the damaged walls themselves.  I have given them other chances and all 3 times they have unfortunately let me down in 1 way or another, this being the WORST! I will be curious to see if they come the day we schedule the job, show-up ON TIME and address all the issues they had caused.  DO NOT WORK with this company, their prices may be cheap but so is their professionalism and effort. .

Everything was fine initially, but after the first leg of the move, they realized two people weren't enough and had to hire more movers once we got to NY. The other mover that started the day with Rich was his his first time ever moving, and he was increasingly ineffective as the day went on. At our  last stop, Rich was throwing heavy items off the back of the van, to include a gun locker, dresser, and boxes with fragile items. The other movers told us later that he said he was trying to "beat traffic". All told, we had over $550 worth of items broken, including many glasses and dishes.  SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND GET A PROFESSIONAL MOVER. We've moved 10 times in seven years, and this mover was far and away the worst one we've had.

This "mover" left a 69 year old woman and her 30 year old daughter and her 4 year old grandson stranded last Saturday June 22,2013. After an initial agreement to be there at 1:00 he was called on his cell phone by a third party when he failed to show-up, he had stopped answering calls from the customer.  He promised the caller he would be there and "delays are part of the business" HE NEVER SHOWED,HE NEVER CALLED. This was a simple move of three rooms of furniture to a location ten minutes away. I know because I moved them on Sunday. I am notifying the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General .

I'm not sure why most of the reviews here seem so negative. Maybe it's mostly the people who were disappointed going back and posting, while the ones who liked the service don't care as much to spend the time writing one. So, here's my 2 cents.
I personally had a fine experience. It was a 1-br move within Connecticut. The movers showed up promptly and the whole move (including the 1:20 min drive between the two places) took a little over 3 hours. And, of course, the price was way below what anyone else would've charged for this particular move (I can assure you, as I'd spent days on the phone getting quotes from other movers the week before - some of them didn't even call back, btw). Overall, I would rate this a very good experience.

This move was the worst experience ever. It was a one-bedroom move, from New Haven to a few towns over.  Everything sounded great and good over the phone but as soon as these guys showed up, the nightmare began.   First off, the three VERY YOUNG..and VERY THIN men that were hired  were extremely lazy who extremely inexperienced.. and one of them even admitted they were hung over from partying the night before.   The owner of the company was there, Rich, who just stood by and played with his phone the entire time instead of directing.  I had to be vigilent the entire time about everything.  He would yell every now and again to his workers, but mostly was on his phone.  They packed the truck way too tight ..they even forced a large plant into the truck and snapped it.   They also were UNPREPARED with appropriate straps needed for furniture.  They had some padding in the truck but that was about it.  These folks are lazy, and have a very unprofessional attitude.  I would NEVER EVER recommend them to anybody.   .

This guy definitely wrote his own reviews on his page. Do not use him. He talks bad on the phone about the other workers on CL. Very unprofessional. First of all, he did nothing but yawn on the phone (once he finally called me back) and tried to make a fortune off us for a small move. He advertises 199 moves I priced a sm one bedroom he wanted to charge. By the time he added all his extra charges close to $500.00. We found the perfect mover on CL. Very respectful service. Funny the ones he bad mouthed so bad were the best ones. Another funny thing is when I was telling the people that we did hire what this guy was saying. They told me how he put up disgusting lies about them on CL and through phone number. Check what a loser this guy is. Don't hire this guy.

Rich and his men loaded my 2 bedroom into there truck within 2 hours time. I have alot of belongings for a 2 bedroom and the men assured me that the 16ft truck they brought would accommodate the move.THEY WHERE RIGHT! I have moved long distance before and I liked there business style for the same price of me waiting over 2 weeks for my stuff to arrive from other big freight carriers took them only 24 hrs to drop off. They only bring 1 customer at a time to make sure that there belonging s get there safe and undisturbed. Great job I will be telling everyone of your services!
