United Movers

I was so nervous about moving from one state to another, because I had no idea where to start or who to call. Luckily I was able to come across United Movers!. They were here for me from the beginning of my move to the end. Everyone I talked to were very respectable and professional. The foremen are very well trained,they treated my things with such care. And most importantly they were on time! :) I am just so relieved that there are still honest and professional companies just as united movers. I will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Do not use United Movers Group! They recently moved me from Nashville, TN to Hattiesburg, MS. Garrett Evans (salesperson) gave me a quote of $2150. He stated emphatically that we overestimated the cubit footage, and therefore the price could only go down, not up. Guess what! The price went up to over $4500! The website says they own their own trucks. NOPE. The truck said “Budget” on the side. The driver, Ahmad Daniels, charged me for extra cubic feet. He said “Garret underestimated badly”. He also charged me $700 for stairs even though the contract states that the first flight is free, and the charges don’t even apply to family homes, but stairs at an apartment complex. They regard a flight of stairs as 7 steps. I had 12 steps to the room above my garage. Ahmad also charged me $60for a piano Garrett included in the contract. If you really want to evaluate their priorities, then call them at 8777543574. If you select option 1 they will answer immediately. If you select option 2 then they will not answer at all. You see, option 1 is for sales (they want your money), and option 2 is for Customer Service (they already have your money). There is more. Ahmad was scheduled to arrive at my home at 7 AM. He arrived after 330 in the afternoon. I could not leave (obviously) for Hattiesburg until he was loaded and gone. He did not get loaded and gone until 1015 that night. I left with my wife, my 4 year old son, my 1 year old son, and my 2 elderly parent-in-law at 1030. I drove until I was too tired to drive safely anymore, so we stopped to rest at a hotel. My intention was to drive to Hattiesburg and be there by 8 AM to sign my lease and let the movers unload. Well, the movers did drive all night because there was 2 of them and they took turns. My family arrived at the apartment at 4 PM. Ahmad charged me $350 for being late! I was late in Hattiesburg because he was late in Nashville! I have tried to appeal some of the charges. Garrett, who stated at the start that I should call him for ANYTHING, has not returned any of my calls or emails since the move. The company has not returned any of my calls or emails. The contract says that arbitration is the way to settle disputes, but they avoid that by simply ignoring you. Avoid United Movers Group out of Chicago. Avoid Garrett. Avoid Ahmad.
