Sea & Air International

I am delighted to have just received delivery of our household contents in Valencia, Spain only two months after they were packed up by Sea & Air International in our New York City one-bedroom apartment. We filled a 20-foot container and had Sea & Air do all the packing. The process started over a year ago during the height of the pandemic with a virtual walk through that was later followed up with an in-person visit, taking into account all that we had jettisoned in the interim. I interviewed five different movers, comparing prices, services, and references. Interestingly, one of the big companies asked who else I was considering, and when I said, Sea & Air, he admitted, I've only heard good things about them. In the end, Sea & Air was the clear winner; I was particularly encouraged that they had handled other moves from NYC to Valencia with glowing reviews. The crew in New York was professional, courteous, and careful. They worked straight through the day from 9 am to 6 pm packing sculptures, paintings, dishes, clothing, books, furniture, etc. Their partners who delivered in Spain were excellent as well, unwrapping and setting up furniture and removing the packing materials. Yaniv kept us apprised every step of the way, seamlessly handled logistics, and responded quickly to questions via email and phone. Moving internationally is not cheap and is always going to involve a certain amount of stress. That said, Sea & Air’s price was among the lowest and they kept our stress at a manageable level. I would highly recommend Sea & Air for an international move.

This company called to cancel my move, during the appointed MOVING DAY itself. To add insult to injury, no one called to inform me until I called them! Horrifying. They contracted another company to pack my belonging and they were good enough. My biggest peeve was customer service, they would take weeks to answer any of my questions via email and would have to call them (long distance) to get answers, which all adds up to my expenses. If you are thousands of miles away and your container is being held by a company that does not answer your emails, your in for one big nightmare scenario. Worst part is, now I'm being charged for local Terminal Handling Charges, Container Port Charges and Container Demurrage. This was never explained properly to me while signing contact, another $1200 in charges. Be wary of Yaniv Risman over-the-top sales pitch and Jonathan Smith. Don't - just don't.

I have moved apartment twice and used other moving businesses twice, both were a lot of hassle and one in particular was extremely bad.

When it came to our latest big commercial move I was dreading The logistical side.

Sea & Air International completed a large move from New York to Australia and the service was prefect form beginning to end. They sent their company president to assess the move and volume. During the assessment Yaniv made recommendations for some crates that are needed to protect our oil paintings, mirror and some marble tops. The packing crew worked 3 days at our house and had all the crates ready when they came to pack. They did an inventory on ipad and took photos for some of the items. the entire inventory was emails to us a day after the finish to load the container. It is also important to mention that they parked the container outside our home and we had a pleasure to see the team loading and placing all the items into the container right outside the home. They did made us aware that this will not be the case in Australia due to the regulations, we needed to pay money for quarantine as it was explained to us by Sea & Air however the team in Australia did a fabulous job and everything arrived in perfect condition. We highly recommend Sea and Air International to anyone that is looking for great service when moving internationally.

Have used them to help me with shipping custom made items from Canada to their storage facility in NJ. They have used another company in Canada to pick-ip, pack and crate the items. I checked the items once it was in NJ and all items came in great shape and were packed very well. The storage is great so their storage manager Polar.
When I visited their office in NYC they were very curtious and all very nice. Just great people to work with.

We recently used them to ship our belongings from New York to Paris and it went without a hitch on both ends. Our belongings were mostly clothes but we did have a few pieces of valuable furniture, two bicycles and lots of fragile ornaments and the like. Nothing at all got damaged, which was a first for us, so we're very happy about that.

The gents picking up were very professional, polite and efficient. We couldn't believe how quickly and carefully they had our belongings packed up and in the truck. The shipping took less time even than predicted and was stored after arrival until we were ready for it. Two times we were offered delivery but we were not able to receive so the company on the European end, (Transpack Moving Services, Netherlands, who I can also highly recommend) stored our belongings without any problems until we could receive it. Their delivery men were also completely professional and efficient.

Communications were excellent at both ends of the service and thanks to this and their complete professionalism throughout the entire process we were never too concerned about our all important belongings.

All round a great service that I can highly recommend.
