Rite Way Auto Transport

Converible was delivered in the median of a 4 lane rd. instead of at a vacant shopping center parking lot as agreed. The police had stopped to question the driver. He told the driver to move quickly. Car was in median and then moved to a parking lot. Car was very dirty, it was supposedly an enclosed transport. Examined the body panels, all appeared in order. The top was VERY dirty. The smudge marks on the top turned out to be tears. I sent pictures and Michael from Riteway said "he and his company would make it right". The receipt showed NO DAMAGE to the convertible top. Michael is VERY untruthful, he strung me along for 5 weeks. I got him estimates and he said he would call me. He never called, I called him and he said he would talk to his boss and get back to me the next day. NEVER HAPPENED.His last lie was "he was waiting to hear back from the insurance company". After 6 weeks he finally gave me the name of the insurance company. The insurance company never received a call or claim from Michael O'sullivan or Riteway another outright lie. I think Michael and Riteway strung me along hoping I would just give up. THEY ARE NOT ANYWHERE NEAR HONEST BUSINESS PEOPLE!!

From the VERY beginning Jason Mishko w/Rite Way Auto Transport LLC was very professional and integrable in his approach and behavior. He presented the complete scenario to me, MY FIRST TRUCKING HAUL. I received several other quotes and explanations, but Jason spelled it out for me about NO DEPOSITS and all the other little tricks that some of these pull with hidden fees and cancellation charges.He was excellent in helping me price my delivery and within a day I had a hit! I hadn't even settled with the seller on the other end yet, Jason was so effective. I settled that issue and we had another hit within a couple days, for MY BID.The trucking company used = Carrier: Lighthouse Logistics w/Carrier Contact Name 1: Robert as the driver; they were just as phenomenal as Rite Way was.. Robert called me and kept me abreast of where he was and when he would get here..I was completely pleased with the whole process. There is NO BETTER Broker nor Delivery group you can find, maybe as good?? but NONE BETTER!Jason is THE MAN especially for new clients. I was real disappointed in everyone of the others trash talking just to get my business, yet they all required deposits UPFRONT, cancellation fees etc Rite Way makes it FAIR and EASY to commit w/o any UPFRONT deposits and you only put up when you approve the driver, RITE Ways portion. the remaining portion goes to the driver, by either the shipper of receiver.
JUST HOW IT SHOULD BE.

I was a little apprehensive at first when choosing a shipping company because it seemed like every where I looked there was a scam. With Rite way they were 100% professional and did everything that they said they would/when it was said to be done. As far as the paper work I would be receiving, when the money would be transacted, and when the employees would be contacting me. 
This company was the ONLY Company that worked with me to get my vehicle from Virginia to Alaska. No other company would ship my car, and if they did, it was considered to be international, and they wanted to charge an arm and a leg. Not only was Rite Way the only company that shipped my vehicle for a great rate, but they also worked with another company here in Alaska to insure that when they switched hands that the vehicle would be in good condition and make it to Alaska safe. 
To be honest the only complaint that I would have about the company would be the allotted time frame. The vehicle was said to be getting picked up from noon-four by a driver. The driver did not show up till almost seven at night, stating that other clients were late. I understood this and completely understand that things happen, but as the customer it would have been nice to receive a call from the driver stating the tardiness. 
Rite Way will be a company that I recommend for others looking to ship their vehicle.

I talked to Jason B at riteway everything was set to pick up my car on Monday and deliver on sat. Gave my cc info and deposit of 150.00 signed contract. They took 150.00 right away and said it was on board. Thats Riteway commitment. Once it is posted their contract has been met. Then Jason calls me all set will pick up on Monday and people picking up the car will call with time. I had made arrangements for inlaws to meet them with keys. Inlaws call me and tell me I need to call Teri as plans have changed. Teri at transport company calls my wife and tells her can't pick up monday may be abe to pick up wed or fri but no guarantees. So my wife tells her that is not going to work and we need to cancel. Teri tells my wife that we could save 150.00 broker fee by going direct with her next time instead of broker. I am also a business owner and broker so my wife explains to teri that is not right to try and do that as broker is giving her the business and so on. I call riteway and tell Jason what happens and he said he would get to the bottom of that as it is not right. Next thing I know I get a nasty email from Jayne the owner saying we are lying and just trying to get our money back and so on…Very nasty person to deal with she is the owner of riteway? I tried to call her and email her numerous times with no luck. Her reply was you signed the contract and not getting your money back. At that point I could see she was not a very reputable owner I sent may complaint in to the BBB. Jayne still has not replied back to me but we are letting BBB handle it and I am confident that they will post the complaint. If you are reading this you are asking yourself should I have riteway transport my car…The answer is NO run don't trust them in fact do your home work and go with someone whos reviews are better than riteway. I am glad that I cancelled and didn't let them touch my car as they just want the brokers fee and then they could care less. Jayne is very unprofessional and I want other consumers to know this is not they service you are looking for. Very scary so do your research and read reviews, I am not the only one they have scammed and BBB and sites like this know about them…Too bad companies like this are allowed to rip consumers off and most consumers don't take the time to let others know. But there is still a few of us that will tell and warn others. Good luck and hope you get what you pay for. I didn't from riteway.  .

Rite Way Auto Transport company is acombination of sleek and aggressive sales, inept and undisciplined executionteam, stern and uncaring conflict resolution team, and to crown it all, pretentious client service who asks for your side of the story and does not care to respond. I have hired them to transport my hurricane Sandy damaged car from the garage in Brooklyn NY to mechanic in Pennsylvania. I ended up with $200 charge to my credit card, missed day at work, car still in the garage, and a very bittertaste of the entire experience. They never even arrived to pick up my car. The money was charged for a dubious privilege of spending 2 days in communication with their multiple finger -pointing personnel. I did not have a chance to try themin a standard situation, but in my situation of the hurricane victim I would give them the lowest grade possible.

I received a reasonable quote from John. He proceeded to tell me that all of the "other" companies would quote me less, try and up-sell, leave my car sitting, ect ect ect. He told me they pride themselves on A customer service. Our verbal deal was my car was to be picked up mon/tue and dropped to me thurs/fri. Sounded fantastic! The contract stated 1-10 day pickup window, which he ASSURED me to disregard, "it's just standard, we'll get it to you by the end of the week." Silly me right?!?! When they never contacted me mon/tues for pickup details I began to call. Everyone was always on the other line. I finally spoke to John this morning who assured me he would make it happen and call me before he left today. Guess what, he's gone and no phone call. I cancelled my order and went with someone who's willing to put their keyboard where there mouth is and write our agreed details out- lesson to me. Lesson to John- don't undersell your loads to hook a customer and then ask for more money, which you then still cannot come through on- you're just like the other guys you warned me about. .

I am happy to say the experience we had was indeed, favorable. We basically went online to get info about shiping our sons' jeep to California due to him relocating. None of us knew where to look and our friends didn't know of anyplace to call so we basically went on-line and found this place. Alvin, the man I spoke with, asked what we were looking to do and what the time frame was and how flexible we could b. We chatted and in a timely manner, we were loading up the vehichle in a couple of hours at a place of our choosing, and I must say the guys who picked up the jeep were very polite, happy and respectful young men. The driver was Mike and I didn't remember the name of the other man, but a lovely person as well. Mike said he would be in California by the weeks end and the auto was delivered safe and sound. I would reccomend this site to anyone looking to ship a vehichle. Just know that you should be flexible within a day or two, because you don't know what the drivers come across during their journey anything can happen. Also, you need their service so be cool and let it roll.Don't come unglued if the car doesn't get there the exact time they say.If your plans can't be flexible then perhaps you should haul it yourself with a tow-bar. .
