Hercules Moving and Storage

We used Hercules Moving and Storage about 25 years ago when we moved from Groesbeck into our home in Liberty Township. The move was flawless, fast, and extremely reasonable.

So, naturally, when our son moved back in from out of town, we called Hercules again. From my initial conversations with Stephanie in the office to the actual move itself with Chester and Bob, it could not have gone more flawlessly. And their price quote was dramatically lower than anyone else that we talked to.

Stephanie answered all of my repeated calls and questions with patience and good information. If she didn’t know something or wasn’t sure, she said she’d get back with me and she did. (And we all know how rare that is these days.)

On the day of the move, the movers (Chester and Bob) got to the out of town location right on time, listened to my thoughts on loading the truck (as some was going to storage and the rest to the house) and went to work. 90 minutes later they were on the road back to Cincinnati.

The next morning, they met us at the storage location and were even early! They were extremely efficient at packing the small storage space we’d rented; it was only about half full (and I was originally concerned about getting everything in) and then came to our house and off loaded the rest. In a total of 2 hours, they were done and gone.

I simply cannot say enough good things about this company. They’re friendly, efficient, careful, and reasonable. When it’s time for our next move, they’ll… no doubt…be the “go to”.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1600

I contacted this company to assistance with a move for my daughter and her roommates.  I was provided a quote of $80 per hour for five hours, $400 total.This turned into the worse move possible.  This company had promised three able movers, an appt at 3pm, with an arrive time to 5pm at the new residence which was vital since we had a freight/dock appt.  The truck showed up 30 minutes late, came with three movers but one mover only gave orders and another mover was physically unable to do the move due to age, strength, etc.The move went incredibly slow.  The mover in charge intimidated the girls and told them they had to sign this blank document as well as a charge card slip or they could not proceed.  At this point most of the furniture was on the truck and they would of driven away with the belongings.  The copy of the contract that was given to the girls was completely blank and the charge card was billed for more than double of the quote.  Another discrepancy was, I received the quote and agreed to the move with this company.  But my charge card had a completely different co many name.  I have tried to call both companies and no one will pick up the phone and no one will return my phone call.Bottom line - This was a scam.  This company was completely dishonest and deceitful.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I hired Hercules to move my 3 bedroom house from Cincinnati, Ohio to the Toledo, Ohio area.  This is the third move I have made within 15 months and the third company I have used.  I was absolutely impressed with this company!  I used North American Van Lines for my other moves and Hercules puts North American to shame.  They are efficient, professional and responsible.  They are also very fast!  They had my 3 bedroom house loaded in 3 and a half hours.  When I got to my new house the next morning the Hercules truck was waiting in my driveway and ready to unload at 9:00.   It was the first time I had not been the one waiting for the moving truck.  There is not one thing I would change about the way my move was handled.  This is a family owned business where they take pride in their service.  Also, before the move I emailed the owner's daughter when I had questions and she always responded quickly with the answer.  I felt like I was in good hands and a move that could have been very stressful was made easy.  The movers also did more than just unload the truck.  They went above and beyond by doing things to help me.   For example, my son has a basketball hoop that was delivered and needed to be weighted down to stand up.  Without asking, one of the movers found a tree stump and weighted down my son's basketball hooop in our new driveway.  They were polite and seemed to really care about making us happy.  Not one thing was scratched or damaged which was not my experience with other moving companies.  All of the movers have been with the company for at least 5 years.     If you are looking for a moving company that you can trust and will provide the service they promise, hire Hercules!  This is the way all moving companies should operate.
