Long-distance move from Lake Oswego, OR to Benton, LA

Horrible Company

Be AWARE, if you use a broker (I used All Mighty Relocation Services, not knowing they were an outsourcing broker), you WILL be charged more than originally quoted, there’s really NO WAY around it! These guys make the rules, and if your back is against the wall to get your stuff moved, you have to pay their extra fees! They are very condescending and their movers are not careful with your stuff. They broke at least one box before loading it on the van and almost left multiple items in the parking lot. ( I watched my pots and pans roll around on the asphalt and I have high quality cookware. Every box had damage, were crushed, had holes, by the time they arrived-even the boxes clearly marked “Fragile.”

These guys showed up a day late for pick up. I had just had surgery and was trying to get out of an abusive situation, so I had no choice but to follow through with this epic fail of a move. I had been told by the broker (Again, still not aware that it had been outsourced to another company) that I was working with 350 cubic feet of space. This was all after confusion about boxes and sizes. The original quote included a ten foot kayak, a deep freezer, a shelving uni, a few other bulky items and 50 boxes. I was told that if I exceeded the 350 cubic feet, I was looking at around an extra $500 per additional 100 cubic feet. (Two of us heard this estimate straight from the broker’s mouth.) When I noticed that I had exceeded the 350, we taped off 450 cubic feet and attempted to keep it within that space. We very successfully kept it within the 450 cubic feet, if fact we were well below that mark. When they finally arrived (again, LATE), They took a picture and sent it along to their people to get a “Final Fee.” Needless to say I went a little bonkers when they came back with a final fee that was nearly $2000 MORE THAN QUOTED!!! FROM A PICTURE!!!???? They said the Kayak was a problem, that the kayak was what jacked the price up. THE KAYAK WAS ON THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE, DO THEY NOT KNOW WHAT A KAYAK LOOKS LIKE??? They also required the $2000 payment up front before even loading the truck. I call All Mighty Relocation Services and cry to them about this extreme jacked up price and they offered no relief (This is when I realized that they weren’t actually the movers, just brokers.) I put them on the phone with the mover and I over heard him laughing with them about how they had never had anyone question their methods (Mover had already told me that I had no idea what the cubic feet in a truck is and that I didn’t know what I was talking about). After loading the truck, we were told that my stuff would be delivered within 8 to 10 days. My mom and I left Oregon 2 days after pick up and arrived in Louisiana 8 days later. My stuff had still not arrived. I gave them another week and called to inquire. I was told that my stuff wouldn’t be picked up for another 5 days. I was confused by this because I watched them pick up my stuff. Thats when I was told that it didn’t work that way. My stuff was taken to a storage unit, where it was MIXED IN AND STORED with other people’s stuff! (Keep in mind, I don’t know these other people, they could be filthy people with things crawling around their stuff, I have no idea what my stuff was mixed in with. My skin crawls just thinking about it.) I had to just wait it out. My things arrived a week and a half later. It was delivered by a Solo mover. ONE MAN, was tasked with delivering multiple orders to multiple locations. My Bed base requires at least two people!!! I will say, Ronald Story was a champ and the only Good thing about this move. He refused help from my parents (I am still recovering from surgery), but my dad forced him to let them help move the bed. He was very nice and gracious as he checked off boxes on the list. It was then that we were told that everyone stuff was mixed up on the truck and that the only way to tell whose stuff belonged to whom was by these tiny stickers that they put on everything. I did wind up with a box that belonged to someone else, kind of wish I knew who the other people were so I could send them their stuff and inquire about what they may have gotten out of mine. I am in transition right now, so I don’t really know yet if I received everything they left with. This was an awful experience and I am still sad and sore over the whole ordeal. I could have rented a pod and stored it for a few months and paid less than I did with these guys.

Long-distance move from Wilsonville, OR to Fountain Valley, CA

WAAAY Better Than Expected

I was assigned to D United Logistics from a moving company broker. Although both companies had bad reviews, their service to me was EXCEPTIONAL. Gina was my contact person at D United Logistics and she was responsive, responsible, kind, and professional.

The movers in Oregon were Juan, Carlos & William. Juan and Carlos were employees of D United Logistics and William was a locally contracted mover to round out their team. Carlos carefully wrapped and prepared my furniture, William brought it downstairs to the truck, and Juan took inventory and carefully placed everything (including MANY boxes) on their truck. William was kind of an odd ball, but Juan and Carlos were great.

They were on time, (and again) carefully wrapped every piece of furniture, and since I boxed my own “boxable items”, they payed close attention to the ones I marked “FRAGILE” (which were many). The guys were organized, professional, and yet friendly and fun to work with.

I was originally quoted a 3-10 day turnaround for delivering my stuff to me in California from Oregon. Carlos and his brother, Junior took over the delivery of my home to California. They brought my home to me in TWO DAYS. They picked up and wrapped up everything from my Oregon apartment (three flights of stairs by the way) on a Saturday, and were unwrapping my furniture and placing it in my California home by the following Monday afternoon. I was truly amazed and am so grateful. I was the one who had to rush to California to meet the moving van.

Nothing was broken! And my boxes included China, crystal, glass, and decorative mirrors and glass front cabinets. One box was dropped by accident in my garage in California, but nothing broke except the box itself. There were a couple (just two!) small nicks in just two furniture items but nothing major and I’m not even going to worry about it. I already repaired one nick and will be fine with the other one.

I have to say that I was absolutely blown away withrelief that this stressful move went so well. I am actually proud to admit I was wrong in assuming this would be a nightmare; instead, it was an excellent experience. I WILL recommend D United Logistics to anyone and everyone.

Thanks for listening. I meant every word.

Long-distance move from Central Point, OR to Desert Hot Springs, CA

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!

First this moving company was 3 days late picking up our items which we had all packed and ready to load into the truck. They did not have to do anything just load. They arrived at 9:30pm at night to a 55+ park to load our items into a Budget rental truck that was mostly full from another customer's move. So they did not have room for our things so they left when the truck was full until 1:30am returning the next day with our things gone and still the other customer's items were there to complete the loading of the rest of our items. Then they said our cubic feet was 600 more than the original estimate from the broker moving company as we gave them a detail list of our inventory items and even gave an overestimated amount of boxes as they told us to do so. Our inventory list had 127 items and the final amount was only 114 items. They said we owed an additional $1972 from our original binding moving estimate as they said the broker moving company did NOT know properly how to calculate the cubic feet but they did. Then they said they would deliver our items the following week from Oregon to California. They delayed and delayed the date to deliver our items over 3 weeks after the pickup giving us a different excuse each time why it was not going to be delivered on the dates they told us. When they arrived, we had to pay them $2700 before they would open the truck and they brought our items in a smaller 16-ft Budget truck which shows online has a cubic feet capacity of only 658 cubic feet and our items did not even fill the truck. So they charged us for 1400 cf when we had far less than that as shown by the truck they delivered our items. Then several items were badly damaged like a bicycle that is so bent cannot be ridden and our safe was broken into as the door had been torn off and a valuable antique gold watch was missing. They even taped the door back onto the safe like nothing had happened. We had several missing items like a leather chair and ottoman, 3 ladders, a woman's mountain bike that we still have not recovered. Boxes were badly damaged and many items broken. We took lots of pictures. So this company CANNOT be trusted to deliver your inventory timely or keep proper care of the items and even lose many items or let them get stolen and overcharge way too much! I wish I could give 0 stars as 1 is too many!!!

Long-distance move from North Las Vegas, NV to Longview, TX

Totally unprofessional.

Showed up 36hours late first day and 4 hours late 2nd day with a truck too small and only two Packers for a 4 bedroom home. Wanted paperwork signed before they would start packing. Complained constantly about having to pack everything. Tried to tell me I should sell everything and buy new stuff at destination. Did not get everything on the truck. Charged double and said they loaded 1800 cft but only delivered 1200. Have talked with them dozens of times about missing 600cft to include the top of our China cabinet, pedestal for our rosewood dining table, antique Korean curio cabinet, marble top Bombay chest and around 48 boxes of items collected from all over the world while serving in the Navy for 28 years. Packing was totally unprofessional with boxes not filled, furniture not properly wrapped or crated, and truck loaded poorly resulting in dozens of broken items. I had 10 transpacific and transatlantic moves in the Navy, moved myself from Florida to Arkansas and Arkansas to Nevada with no lost or broken items. These folks have no business moving anyone's property and in my opinion are crooks. I have spoken to them dozens of times and have just been lied to and strung along. The last talk, I was told part of my stuff would be here yesterday. Just another lie.

Long-distance move from Oregon to Kansas

Save yourself from the most corrupt company I've ever been robbed by.

Run away, Run far, far away from this company. If you are thinking of moving with them, can I just say that this is not a review, it is a warning. They didn't pick up our stuff until a week after promised. They didn't deliver until 19 days after promised. Barbara is a serial liar and con artist, and that is not an understatement!

Have you heard of a "hostage moving scam"? These folks wrote the book on it. They take your stuff, put it in their warehouse in CA and then charge you double in money orders or cash so you can get what is left of your stuff back. Anything expensive we owned? Stolen. When I called to ask when my tools and bicycle would be delivered: "We never picked it up" even though we saw it go in their truck. When I asked how to return all the stuff they gave me, that wasn't mine, they said: "give it to Salvation army".

They helped us "track" our delivery and it took 2 weeks. When delivery guy showed up (yes, just a driver, we had to unload the truck even though we paid for full service moving) he said he had left the night before and drove straight to us.

Liars and robbers. If you are like me, you got brokered into this living nightmare, and all I can do is empathize with you over the horror of what is to come.

Worst company ever

Driver at pick up was alone, (my husband and I helped load our own stuff) unprofessional and bragged about being ground zero for Covid two years ago and showing us obscene pictures of buckets of blood that he vomited. Demanded cash because his gas card and tools were on the broken down truck. Zero contact from this company of the whereabout of our house hold good. They are contracted out from four paws moving. Through out all of this the only person giving us any information is a employee from four paws and even she has challenges getting ahold of anyone. It now has been over a month since they have picked up our home goods. No owner as called us at all. I really wish it would let me do negative starts.

Long Distance Move from Portland, OR to South Carolina

Do NOT use this company. They were a day late without calling to inform me they would be late. Now 31 days later, I’m still waiting on my household goods. I was promised a 7-21 day delivery timeframe, and planned my move so my belongings would arrive before I needed to start working. I have gotten every excuse under the sun of why my stuff has not arrived, and Barbara cannot tell me where my things are or a timeframe of receiving my belongings. I keep getting told call back on Thursday- I cannot get with my dispatcher, or the dispatcher won’t answer my calls or texts.

As many of the reviews here state, I was BROKERED into this company. I am planning for the worse, and have contacted an attorney to help me with all of this. I am ex military and have moved all over- I have NEVER had such an egregious company such as this. That’s saying something as the military goes with the cheapest out there. I can’t imagine how my belongings will look if I ever receive them.

Price was changed multiple times. Went from $4,000 to $10,000!!! We still don’t have the furniture. Barbara is a liar. Flat out, no way around it. Thief and liar.

Do NOT use this company. You’re better off renting a wagon and pulling your stuff to your destination. That’s not a stretch, believe me. Barbara should be jailed.
