Long-distance move from Cache, OK to Dawsonville, GA

Dishonest Top to Bottom

We contracted Condor through a moving broker for a 1000 mile move in June/July 2023. They lost at least 4 of our boxes (and we suspect a fifth was stolen someone at pick-up and not included on the inventory). At delivery, the driver had no helpers and took ALL day. He did not properly reassemble most things that had been disassembled. He charged us an additional fee for moving a piano that was already included in our payment. He tried to give us someone else's table even after we told him it was not ours, and he only reluctantly took it back with him. Condor lied to us that we would be able to pay over the phone by card before delivery, but they didn't call beforehand, and the delivery driver only called the day before, which was July 4, and told us we would have to pay him in cash or cashier's check. We were barely able to get enough cash from the ATM since banks were closed due to the holiday.

We went through the claims process for our lost boxes. Condor representatives had told us specifically to list all of the contents and find price estimates to submit under the Full Value Replacement protection. We did so, and it took a long time to compile it all. Our conservative estimate was approximately $2000 worth of possessions were gone. When their supposedly independent claims management company Anthem sent us the settlement amount, it was, after deductible, a paltry $190, saying essentially that the contents of the boxes did not matter since they could not be verified. This means that Condor knowingly told us to waste all of that time itemizing the contents and estimating their value. At their behest, we made a good faith estimate of the full replacement value of our lost items, and they completely ignored it and offered no good faith counter-estimate.

At that point, we posted negative reviews, and Condor responded telling us to contact them so they could make things right. We did so, and Condor representatives wasted another month of our time. We would call them, explain the situation afresh, only for them to repeatedly promise to get back to us with a resolution by a specific date and then never do so. At last, we were able to communicate directly with their Partner/Director Nisrine, who then told us that, actually, we were not even covered by the Full Value Replacement protection, and as a consequence she completely dismissed all of our issues without a thought. Anthem (somehow independently) increased the settlement offer by $69.00. The $69.00 was, allegedly, all we were entitled to under the minimum coverage level, yet the original $190.00 (that we were not entitled to) was still being included for unclear reasons.

Nisrine justified this with a blatantly cropped screenshot from our original estimate with the moving broker that included a line that said $0.00 for $0.60 per pound coverage. She had cropped the document right before it went on to say that we would select our actual level of protection at pick-up on the Bill of Lading (where we had clearly chosen Full Value Replacement protection). She also blatantly ignored the in-person superseding estimate that was signed by Condor's own foreman Jessie on the day of pick-up that also CLEARLY included Full Value Replacement protection. That Condor's own Partner/Director would make this blatant misrepresentation, and their supposedly independent claims management company Anthem would go along with it, speaks volumes to both companies' lack of ethics and lack of respect for their customers. We are now awaiting the outcome of the arbitration process, but we are skeptical of it.

Condor is dishonest. Condor employs and contracts dishonest individuals. On the phone during and after the move, their representatives will act like they want to help, but their only goal is to get you off of the call so they can ignore you.

Long-distance move from Dallas, TX to Oklahoma City, OK

Runaway

Pick any other moving service besides this one. After 99% of my stuff was on the truck they tell me it is going to be an extra $1,800 and at that point I had no choice but to let them finish because I had to move. Then after my stuff arrived they unbjxed my 65 inch TV only for me to discover the front was no shattered! I put in a claim for damage and they offered me $45 dollars!!!!!

Smooth Inter-Provincial Move with Expert Handling and Accommodation"

Our recent inter-province move was handled expertly by the mover. All of our items were immediately and meticulously loaded up on moving day. He was quite accommodating in setting up storage for a lengthy period when our plans altered. Everything arrived on time and was unloaded into the desired rooms when we were ready to accept delivery. I had great faith in Condor Moving Systems the entire time, and I wouldn't think twice about using them again. There were no unstated costs or additions that we hadn't previously approved.

Long-distance move from Waco, TX to Royston, GA

Poor!

Awful and unprofessional! Mover came and before he touched anything stated it was going to be DOUBLE what I was quoted. I asked him how if the items I brought were in a uhaul smaller than 500sq ft, packed myself, and still had room left and I downsized more than that!! He said 500 sq ft in his truck was different than 500 sq ft in a different truck? Mover then stated that he needed to repack some of my boxes, which I told him not to worry-just to take the ones he didn’t need to repack-he TOOK NOTHING; none of the totes that were packed perfectly, none of the TVs that were INCLUDED in my move, not even my child’s mattress!!! When asked why he wasn’t utilizing the space that was remaining with those items, he said that he didn’t have any more room on his truck and left!! Now, my belongings that I’ve already paid to move once, are still in a house that I am no longer in, in a state that I am no longer in!!! What a nightmare. As a business professional myself, I would be appalled to know this is how any customer is treated. As a consumer, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, RUN!!! Picture of the truck that had “no room”, and picture of ALL belongings that were paid to be moved

Local move from Killeen, TX to Temple, TX

Stolen Property-Total Chaos inside packed boxes-NEVER AGAIN!

BAD EXPERIENCE! I handled moves for employees 10 years again and they always had a good experience. When I put this together for my 80+ year old mother, it was a disaster. They would not return my calls - I had NO RECOURSE.

They broke a couple of antique lamps, stole all her coins in her bank money bags, probably $2,000. They dumped jewelry, shoes and hanging clothes in tall make-shift boxes,

stacked them high in the garage. They were incredibly heavy - I couldn't lift them - had to have men come over to move them so I could unpack!

I spent about 1 1/2/ hours with their rep, answering questions and using Facetime

on my phone so she could scan every room and take her own pics of everything for the move. Chole estimated it at $8,500. The cost was over $12,000 and they forced a $900 tip when they packed and took my mom's things which made it over $13,000. Would you really question a mover's tip when they are about to take everything you own. Probably not and so you feel you have to pay it.

I understand it could have been misquoted somewhat, but not an extra 50% of the estimated cost, and then to add missing items and no recourse. If you need someone to move your household things, please make sure you find someone IN YOUR AREA and BY RECOMMENDATION ONLY or you may be at risk for this same type of experience. They said they were out of Hurst but I was also told they are out of Florida-who knows for sure. The guys in charge of the crew who packed and unpacked both said they had been there 18 years. I don't know that I believe that, and I can't help but think the "crew" were day-laborers - they had NO regard at all for your belongings. Their 5-star reviews have to be from friends trying to help their reputation!

Long-distance move from Dallas, TX to New York, NY

Worst Moving Company of All Time

Before choosing Condor Systems as your mover, I must strongly (STRONGLY) urge you to reconsider. As background, I recently selected Condor to move me from Texas to New York.

The moving crew comes a couple days later and loads everything on the truck. When it comes time to pay a portion of my balance, I get hit with an extra $1000 charge. Despite having done multiple facetime walkthroughs and doing a thorough inventory, my cubic feet in the truck was 50% higher than what I was originally quoted. I assume this is fairly standard practice in the industry, but be warned – whatever they quote you, add at least 30-40% on top of that to be safe. They throw out low quotes to get you hooked, then add on the fees (more on that below).

Condor picked up on a Friday, and then the real problems started. On Monday, I got a call from Emmett asking me if I wanted to ship my stuff that day. Obviously I said yes, at which point he says that in order to ship I need to pay an additional $1200 shuttle fee. For those of you who do not know, the trucks that Condor uses to ship across the country are not allowed in Manhattan. Instead, the trucks unload onto a smaller ‘shuttle’ truck to deliver in the city. That is fine, that is the law of New York City. However, I told Condor a month earlier I was moving to Manhattan. Why would they not include the $1200 in the quote when, by law, they knew they would need a shuttle? The answer is simple – they quote you a low price in order to get you to use them, then they charge you more (more additional fees described below, but so far we’re over $2200 over the original quote). After much wrangling I was offered a $500 discount. I took it because I was literally homeless by then and all of my life’s possessions were in their hands. They know they leverage they have over you and the exploit it 100%.

Please, please do not use Condor for an out-of-state move. While they use their own crew for Texas, they contract with local partners in the city to be delivered. The crew they sent me was offensive. First, it starts when I was told they would be making the delivery on a Thursday. So, I fly into Manhattan Wednesday night and stay at a hotel. Thursday comes around and the team hired to the delivery, led by a man named Sergio, refuses to answer my calls. After about 2pm I had given up hope, then Sergio calls to tell me that he can’t make it that day. Turns out it was because there was a light rain – so I had to pay several hundred dollars for an additional night in a hotel.

The next day, Sergio comes around 2pm. It is just him and one other man in his 60s, who was actually just the truck driver. It took Sergio an hour to find parking, and he was nervous about getting a parking ticket. So, he said I had to wait in the driver’s seat of the truck to make sure he didn’t get a ticket. I forgot to mention, I paid $1500 for the ‘white-glove’ delivery service – Sergio and his team were supposed to rebuild all furniture that was disassembled during the move, put boxes in the appropriate room, etc. Instead, I literally sat in the moving truck for over an hour until he found a new spot to park in. Also, despite parking approximately 10 feet away from my building, I was charged an additional $500. This was because the actual number of steps to the elevator was more than 100 feet (he counted everyone), and, to top it off, there was a $120 ‘elevator fee’. Keep in mind if the apartment was a walk up there would have been a stair fee. Again, clearly they knew when I gave them my delivery address that included ‘apartment 16D’, they were either going to charge a stair fee or an elevator fee (how else would you get up to an apartment?), but that did not appear in the quote. They lure you, then stack fees on top of fees.

With a crew of only two people, it took them over 7 hours to deliver everything. In Manhattan, movers technically not allowed to move after 5pm – they made the entire building staff stay until nearly 10pm on a Friday. They did not build a single piece of furniture (what in the world did I pay $1500 for?). They threw everything in the living room. If my wife and I didn’t simultaneously move the boxes or unpack them, they would have run out of room; we essentially became persons 3 and 4 of their moving crew that we paid for. They left trash everywhere, the whole thing is nightmare.

In sum – whatever Condor quotes you, they will add thousands more in fees that they know about. Their whole business model is to put you in a very vulnerable position, then wring you for everything your worth. I cannot emphasize enough that these people are borderline criminals. I’m fortunate that I had enough money to cover the additional amounts, but I cannot help but think about a scenario where I didn’t – they have everything you own, and they make sure you know you have no power but to pay.

Long-distance move from Austin, TX to Miami, FL

Horrible moving experience

Worst long-distance moving experience ever. I was assisted by an employee of the company who was very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable of the policy and guidelines. After agreeing to accept the service “ paying the deposit". Unfortunately, the employee who assisted me days later was in a car accident which then lead me to be assisted by the front desk to assist me further. I was quoted $1,519 originally and was ensured the carriers could meet my requested pickup date. Which due to the weather was extended days later. “ Understandable “ due to weather conditions. During this time I then expressed I would be removing/selling items from my inventory. I was advised by both employees that would be more than ok and it would then change my cubit feet usage and lower my cost.

After updating the employee who was replaced by the original adjuster who was in an accident. I was sent an updated binding estimate. Days later I was called by the Business owner who was unbelievably rude, aggressive, and unprofessional explaining she will not change my cost and I would be charged the original price despite me not utilizing the space. “ Fraud “ she then proceeded to “ negotiate “ half the amount I should not have been charged for and then explained my delivery date will not be met. I explained that I was told differently by the two other employees who assisted me. She then explained she cared less and refused to honor what I was originally told. Not to mention the day she rescheduled my delivery date for was a holiday January 1st which then didn’t allow me to have secondary options for transporting my things. Which also caused me to pay an additional $300 to the company for transporting my items. I paid $2,000 for a move I was originally quoted $1,519. All the employees were helpful, kind and assisted me with the policy and guidelines however the owner was unfair, rude, aggressive, and fraudulent. I truly regret choosing this company. Save yourself the headache with this company.

Long-distance move from Arlington, TX to Dameron, MD

The experience was awesome.

This was my second time using Condor Moving Systems and the experience was awesome. They were all super flexible to my questions and very helpful in working directly with my building to provide them with the compulsory insurance paperwork. On the day of the move these guys arrived 10 minutes earlier than scheduled!! This was very accommodating since I had the moving elevator booked for only a short while. They were very professional and very careful with my furniture and electronics items. Would definitely recommend them again in future.
