Adlam Transport was recommended to us by someone who recently used them for their removal. Right from our first phone contact with them we found them very friendly, polite and efficient. On our removal day the truck arrived just before 7am and the two guys, Mike and Cameron, looked around the house at what had to be moved and got straight into it. Ours was an "upside down" house which means the fridge, lounge suite and one bedroom suite all had to be brought down the stairs. There was not a mark left on any of the walls in the staircase which I thought would have been impossible to achieve.
When our furniture was unpacked we were pleased to see no damage. They even brought boxes to pack our TV's in and wrapped other fragile things like large pictures etc in heavy covers. All arrived in great condition.
We had taken insurance but did not need to make a claim but better to be safe than sorry as they say.
Would recommend this company based on my experience.

Service cost: $870

Extremely poor service. The truck and 2 men were half an hour late, at leas they did apologise. From there it went downhill!
They scratched our furniture, very rough and very little care. The driver was experienced and satisfactory, the offside on the other hand was half drunk and probably on drugs. Very slow and inexperienced, who was getting trained on the job. Not to good when you are paying top dollar. The job was 5-6 hours max. We did all the packing and unpacking, the removalists had to load and unload up 2 full loads.There were 2 of us assisting with bringing boxes and stuff up to the truck. House to house was a half hour round trip x 2 which means 1 hour travel time. 8 and half hours for 2 loads!
C'mon, my ex-wife and I could have done it in that time just between the 2 of us. When I complained about the service I got a robotic response that we haven't had any complaints from any customers against the experienced team. Insurance didn't cover the scratches and dents as they were pre-existing..
I would only recommend this removal company to my sworn enemy.

We had packed/boxed our house up and used the Adlams container storage option. What a great idea!!
We had requested a 7am onsite start, and the lads were on time!
Not only very professional, but very witty at that time of day!
The return of our goods was equally as professional as the original. Again, a 7am delivery with the lads on time!

While the actual hard labour was undertaken in an excellent way, my original enquiries were dealt with in a efficient, professional and prompt manner from the office ladies. It was this friendly service and advice that made me comfortable in my choice of removalists.

I have no hesitation in recommending this service, as my experience was a no stress and professional move!

These guys were amazing! I was in huge need of assistance when I had booked with another company who let me down over waiting 2 days for them to attend. Called Nick from Adlams who fitted me in between a busy booked Monday with 2 reliable professional guys mike H and Matt. When they arrived they introduced themselves and took a look around the house then straight to work. We got to the storage facility and was looking that the load would not fit. They gave it their best and fitted everything in the storage unit perfectly.
I will definitely be using these guys again, and highly recommend them as better to pay for quality service that gets the job done. Moving is stressful for most people and they made my day!

We've used Adlam Removals three times so far. They are fabulous, from first contact to unpacking. They are responsive, professional and also friendly (from admin to guys in the trucks and ladies packing/unpacking). They know their job well, and are very careful to pack properly then navigate obstacles even in tight spaces. There have been no breakages in our large and complex moves. I would certainly go back, and recommend then without hesitation. They are lightyears better than the other cowboys who get 'first space' on websites because they use AA in their name. Avoid AA like the plague- their shoddy work meant our kids entire swing set and our expensive tool set were stolen (as they didn't finish the move). Adlams- fabulous and professional.
